The Middle East conflict has taken a nasty turn after Hezbollah fired missiles toward Israel's third-largest city, Haifa. The attack is part of a string of attacks that have been happening since the commencement of the war between Israel and Hamas a year ago. where tens of thousands of people lost their lives, and millions were displaced. It is getting much more serious now with each day passing.
On Monday morning, Hezbollah stated that it had fired Fadi 1 missiles at a military camp south of Haifa. Israel media and municipalities confirmed that two missiles landed in Haifa and many others struck in near by towns and cities, such as Tiberias, which is 65 kilometers to the east of the city. Israeli officials said that the attacks have left injuries and damages in the region. There are reports of at least 10 people injured in northern Israel, and some of them have been taken to the hospital.

The buildings and other properties sustained damages when the attack was launched. The area has been under relentless bombardment since October 7 2023, attacks killed more than 1,200 people in Israel. The Gaza Health Ministry claims that more than 41,000 people have died over the past year within Gaza, and the United Nations has also stated that nearly 2.4 million Gaza's residents have been displaced, setting off a humanitarian crisis in the region. The severity of the war in the Middle East has called for international outcry.
Humanitarian organizations are appealing to both sides to settle their differences, since the heavy fighting will only result in the loss of more civilians and their displacement. Meanwhile, the world waits with bated breath over what steps Israel would take on Hezbollah's aggressive move. Will it fire back and create a larger regional war? Only time will tell, thus further straining a region already wracked by devastation.
