Burger King will pay almost $8 million to a customer who tripped and fell

Richard Tulecki slipped from the foreign substitute in the restroom of the Burger King franchise at Seven restaurant, Florida. Due to that slip, he went through serious surgery, which led him to be in bed for a longer time and, when it came to the lawsuit, now Burger King has to pay nearly $8 million to him.

The incident took place in 2019. In the hearing that occurred in January 2021, it was said that Burger King failed to fulfill the policy of taking care of customers. The jury ordered Burger King to pay around $8 million to Tulecki. This amount was larger than that but then the jury reduced the amount by looking at his insurance.

To counter this, Burger King on May 19 requested a new trial saying the advocate of Tulecki didn't provide any kind of evidence. But the jury will continue with his decision as these serious injuries will lead him to pay a lot in future for medical treatment.
