Bangladesh-Pakistan Relations
Bangladesh is trying to build normal relations with Pakistan as both countries have been members of the Commonwealth, the Developing 8 Countries, and the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Their mutual relations are termed as amicable as they are focusing more on cooperation and contact in the various international forums.
Bangladesh Approach Toward India
Bangladesh has always cherished a stable and harmonious relationship with India. However, it has always shown concern over incidents of interference in the past. Not long ago, an Indian diplomat was rumored to have been influencing political participation in Dhaka in the 2014 Bangladesh elections. Bangladesh still wants to keep a balanced relationship with India.

Global Relations
The foreign policy of Bangladesh cannot just revolve around Pakistan and India. The nation wants to achieve close ties with more superpowers across the globe, especially the US and China. Since the past 13 years in succession, China has been the country's largest trading partner which has only stretched their economic ties further.
Potential Threats for India
The other side of the change in the diplomatic scenario of Bangladesh, a constituent of the triangle of Bangladesh-Pakistan-China, can challenge India. Issues along the border and geopolitical tensions cannot be ruled out. Defense and intelligence services must stay alert with prompt responses to anything that might jeopardize national security, and friendly relations with other countries in the neighborhood are the sure way to safeguard peace there.
