Popular Bhojpuri YouTuber, Malti Chauhan, resident of Uttar Pradesh, was found dead when her body was discovered hanging at her in-laws' residence on Thursday, as reported by the police.
The father of the 23-year-old victim has accused her in-laws of causing her death, alleging that they were responsible for her demise due to their dissatisfaction with the dowry provided.
ASP Santosh Kumar Singh, in a video statement on X, stated, 'A complaint was lodged by Deep Chand Chauhan, who asserted that his daughter Malti Devi was found hanging from a hook on the roof at her in-laws' place in a village under the jurisdiction of Mahuli police station. In response, a police team was dispatched to the location, where the body was recovered and subsequently sent for a postmortem examination’.
Based on the filed complaint by Devi's father, an FIR has been registered against her husband, Vishnu Kumar, and three of his relatives at the Mahuli police station, according to the video statement.

"We have become aware that the deceased was having difficulties in her relationship with husband. We are investigating every dimension of the case," he further stated. In such a situation, the police have doubts on her husband and have held him in custody for interrogation.
Devi operated a YouTube channel called ‘Malti Chauhan Fun’, boasting more than 6.5 lakh subscribers by sharing a total of 24,000 videos. This incident has left her fans profoundly shocked.
