The 2nd edition of World of Safety Summit & Expo 2024 took place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India from February 5th to 6th. The event was organised by the Nesco Events, in collaboration with Safety Appliances Manufacturers Association (SAMA) and Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), Maharashtra, hosted at the NESCO Center, Goregaon (East).
Objective
The objective of the event was to increase awareness, present solutions, and contribute to a sustainable safety culture and environment in Maharashtra. By gathering all stakeholders, it aimed to engage in discussions, deliberate, and formulate comprehensive safety strategies.
It aimed to highlight the importance of industrial worker safety and achieving zero accidents in factories. It emphasises the need to build a safety culture from the ground up and strategically plan and implement safety measures continuously for effective results.
Two-Day Event
On February 5, day 1 commenced with the Inauguration Ceremony and the N.M Lokhande Safety and Health Awards 2023, with visits to exhibitions. The event ended on February 6, with Panel discussions followed by a closing ceremony.
The summit provided immersive experiences, with advanced safety tech, interactive workshops, and top-notch safety solutions. Attendees were provided with the opportunity to connect with experts, exploring cutting-edge safety technologies, ensuring safer workplaces and communities.

Exhibitors at the event included were Confined Space Equipment, Construction Safety Solutions, Consulting Services and Media, Disaster Management Tools, Electrical Safety Products, Emergency Lighting Systems, Equipment for Emergency Rescue, Emergency Response Systems, Emergency Safety Showers, Environmental Protection Equipment, Manufacturers of Ergonomically Designed Workstations, Fire Safety Equipment and Systems and First Aid.
Event Organisers
The event organiser, Nesco Events are known for creating unique cultural experiences and providing B2B and B2C platforms across industries. Another organiser the SAMA (Safety Appliances Manufacturers Association), established in 1969, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing safety awareness and promoting the optimal usage of safety appliances, services, technologies, and equipment, contributing to shaping the safety industry as an organised sector.
