Vygr Maharashtra: PMC's decision, Navi Mumbai to have alternate days water supply

As the monsoon is delayed in Maharashtra, water shortages have started in Mumbai and the Navi Mumbai region. As a result of this, Panvel Municipal Corporation issued a public notice regarding the same saying, an alternate day water supply in the old Panvel region from 25th June.

There needs 30 MLD of water every day for the old Panvel region. This water goes from Dehrang dam to the entire city. But due to lack of rain water, the level of this dam has been reduced. The water level of this dam is so less that it can meet the need of 5 days only. Hence, civic body have taken the decision to supply water on every alternate day.

Navi Mumbai went through the same condition last year too. It gets hard for residents to manage, but there is no other option. May rain fall soon to solve this problem.
