Vygr Maharashtra: Mumbai airport sees flight delays

Due to the temporary closure of the main runway due to weather conditions, several flight operations were impacted at the Mumbai airport, leaving the passengers there on Sunday night waiting for hours. As Cyclone Biparjoy intensified into a powerful cyclonic storm, it dumped a fair amount of rain and generated large waves in the capital city of Maharashtra.

Air India flights were delayed on Monday due to bad weather in Mumbai. Numerous flights have been delayed or cancelled due to weather, the temporary closure of runway 09/27 at Mumbai airport, and other unavoidable factors. Air India apologises for the interruptions despite their best efforts.The airline IndiGo also posted on the social platform, saying, "The misery of flight delays is troublesome for us. We are only required to make such timetable alterations in the most urgent circumstances. We welcome your thoughtful understanding.At the Mumbai airport, passengers voiced their dissatisfaction with the airline's services and referred to them as "ridiculous".

In numerous regions of Maharashtra, including Thane, Raigad, Mumbai, and Palghar, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain periods with gusty gusts up to 45–55 kmph in isolated areas.High tide surges were also seen in Mumbai this morning as Cyclone Biparjoy became a powerful cyclonic storm. Rain fell on a few locations in Mumbai and Maharashtra on Sunday night.
