Vygr Maharashtra: Dhule Airport Turned Into Flying Training Academy, Aviation Scenes from South Film Industry Shot Here

In a tweet, Deepak Kapoor, the vice chairman and managing director (MD) of the Maharashtra Airport Development Company Limited (MADC), claimed that the Dhule Airport in Maharashtra had been converted into a flying school and had become a money-making machine for the state government. He added that the South's film industry also uses the airport to film aviation-related scenes.

The aviation training school has yet to receive authorization at the Karad airport, he added.

They responded, "In Amravati we are building a big new passenger terminal airport worth Rs. 53 crores and it should be completed by March 2024" When a different user in the comment section recommended the additional secretary concentrate on Amravati Airport. He added, "Night landing work already on it and will be completed by December 2023". He claimed that the Vidarbha region's secondary airport, Amravati Airport, is receiving the entire focus.

After the MADC's establishment in 2002, ownership of the Dhule airstrip was handed to it. In order to avoid Mumbai's congested airspace, the Bombay Flying Club leased the airfield from the MADC and moved its training operations here in 2009.
