Vygr Maharashtra: Ajit Pawar wants 'Out' of the NCP & opposition leader post, raises eyebrows

On Wednesday, Ajit Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), expressed his desire to relinquish the role of Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and expressed his intention to work within the party organization. After serving in various capacities within the party for numerous years, Ajit Pawar stated, "I have held multiple positions and worked diligently for the party. The position of the Opposition leader was not my initial aspiration. It was offered to me upon insistence by party MLAs who signed a letter. However, I now wish to step down from the position of Leader of Opposition."

He made these remarks while speaking at the NCP's foundation day event held at Shanmukhananda Hall, which was attended by NCP chief Sharad Pawar and other senior leaders. Ajit Pawar expressed his desire to work in a party organization role, stating, "I humbly request to be assigned a position within the party organization. I assure you that I will deliver excellent results and demonstrate my capabilities. I am willing to accept any position you offer me. However, allow me to showcase my abilities within the organization."Furthermore, Ajit Pawar highlighted the fact that despite being a prominent national player, the NCP was unable to secure a sole victory in Maharashtra.
