Vygr Maharashtra: 6 die as container crashes into Jeep in Bhiwandi, Thane

The horrifying accident claimed the lives of 6 people, as a container loaded with onions crashed into a jeep carrying 12 passengers near Khadvali village in Bhiwandi, Thane district. The accident took place on July 18 in the morning. 

The container was at high speed so that the driver couldn't handle the pressure and headed into collision with a jeep and threw it into a deep gorge. Local people ran for help and took the injured to a government hospital in Padgha village. Four passengers died on the spot and two died on the way to hospital. Others are injured and getting medical treatment in nearby hospital. The jeep driver is in serious condition and has been sent to Sion hospital for advanced treatment. 

There were some students in the jeep who were on the way to their colleges. Deceased people are as follow: Chinmayi Shinde (15), Riya Pardeshi, Vasant Jadhav (50), Prajwal Firake, Santosh Jadhav(50), Chaitali Pimple (27). 

People living in nearby regions are demanding a flyover bridge near the Khadvali crossing where the accident happened. But their demand hasn't received any reply yet. They also conducted a protest but the administration haven't taken any note of it. After yesterday's accident, their demand has gained some weight and they again started agitation about their demand for a flyover.
