The Gruha Jyothi scheme sources 200 units of free electricity across all households in Karnataka, for which around 51 Lakh consumers have already registered as on June 25, Sunday. Due to technical issues, the portal for online registration for his scheme was down last week, due to which the people who were trying to register faced difficulty.
The consumers who wish to register can now register at the Nadakacheri electricity office, without any charges or they can do it at their convenience on their laptops or PC by entering the Seva Sindhu online portal.
Although if one has to register in Grama One and Bengaluru One, an additional charge has to be paid, which is reported to be a minimal cost. But the exact charges details have still not been declared.
