On the night of December 20, in Kanpur, an unusual incident occurred when two thieves arrived at Radha Mohan temple near KDA Dharamshala in Barra-6. Surprisingly, they chose to make their entrance on horseback, intending to steal the donation box.
These inexperienced criminals had set their sights on stealing the donation box from the temple. Unfortunately for them, their bold scheme was thwarted by a group of alert stray dogs. As they tried to flee, the dogs' relentless barking caught the attention of the entire neighbourhood, completely derailing the thieves' carefully laid-out robbery plan.
One of the robbers got off the horse to seize the donation box. Despite their strong will, removing the fixed 'daan patra' proved to be challenging. The noise caught the residents' attention, who were awakened by the continuous barking
The thieves quickly made their escape on horseback as the situation unfolded. This whole incident was caught on video and became an internet sensation, bringing attention to this unusual crime.

Nikhil Soni, the caretaker of the temple, wasted no time in reporting the incident to the police on December 21. The authorities, under the leadership of Dinesh Bisht, the in-charge of Barra police station, promptly took action and initiated an investigation into the attempted theft at the temple.
Bisht assured the temple priest that the police have taken the complaint seriously and are currently investigating to catch the thieves who were riding horses.
