Not only Maharashtra but the entire nation has a proud history of Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the greatest king of all times. His entire life is an inspiration for all of us and his way of governing the Swarajya is what we should adapt to. Today 6th June is the 350th Coronation ceremony of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. There are various cultural programs organized in Maharashtra today to celebrate this occasion. To contribute to this, Maharashtra Cultural Affair Department has come up with a different idea. The Indian Post Department and Maharashtra Cultural Department have collaborated to produce a special postal stamp to give tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Today at Durbar Hall of Rajbhavan, Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais will inaugurate this ticket.
Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is the most idealistic and unique personality ever. His thoughts regarding Swarajya, unity, equality, his respectful behavior towards all women should be known to each and every one. And to spread his thoughts amongst all of us and in the entire world, we have taken this initiative of postal stamp.”
For this launching ceremony of postal stamp, all the respected authorities including CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadanvis, Education Minister of Maharashtra Deepak Kesarkar, Tourism Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, Post Master General Swati Pandey will mark their presence.
