Tamil Nadu - 472 students receive education loans worth ₹17.35 crores

On November 18, an education loan mela was held in the Kallakurichi district, where a total of 472 students were given education loans valued at ₹17.35 crore.

Students received letters of sanction from District Collector Sravan Kumar Jatavath. According to Mr. Jatavath, the camp was planned with the help of nationalized and privatized banks to provide students with the opportunity to continue higher education without any obstacles. Tuition, college fees, and housing costs would all be covered by education loans from several nationalized and private banks.

The purpose of the mela was to guarantee easy loan application processing, appropriate counseling, and prompt loan disbursement.

Special awareness seminars on educational loans were held in 38 universities throughout the district to assist more students in obtaining loans without any complications.

He gave officials instructions to coordinate efforts in order to assist worthy students in obtaining loans.

According to an official, there will be periodical reviews of the quantity of loan applications submitted by various banks and the quantity of loans approved by each of them.

Students who were seeking education loans through the www.vidyalakshmi.co.in students portal registered at the mela, which was attended by the Lead Bank Manager, managers from all the banks, and other officials.

Senior authorities like Gowrishankar Rao, the Indian Bank Manager (Cuddalore Zone), took part.
