Spanish Tourist Gangraped, Husband Beaten in Dumka

Dumka, Jharkhand: In the Dumka district of Jharkhand, a case of gang rape involving a foreign woman from Spain has come to light in the Kurumahat area of Hansdiha police station. Three individuals have been taken into custody by the police in connection with this case, and they are being interrogated. The police are conducting raids to apprehend the remaining suspects.

According to sources, a male and a female tourist from Spain had set out on separate bikes. Due to the late hour, they stopped near Kurmahat in the Hansdiha police station area for rest. As per information received from sources, around 10 PM, a group of 7 to 8 youths arrived and initially assaulted them before subjecting the woman to gang rape. Both victims sustained injuries in the incident.

The couple had previously travelled to Pakistan from Spain, then proceeded to Bangladesh from Pakistan, and finally reached Dumka in Jharkhand. They were camping in the key village of the Hansdiha police station area in Dumka, planning to travel to Nepal from Jharkhand. During their stay, around 7-8 individuals arrived and perpetrated the gang rape incident with the woman.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police swiftly reached the spot and escorted both victims to the Sariahat Community Health Center, where the woman is undergoing treatment. Police personnel are stationed outside the hospital for security, and entry into the hospital premises is restricted.

According to sources, the police have taken four youths from the key village of the Hansdiha police station area into custody for questioning regarding the incident. Additionally, SP Peetambar Singh Kherwar, Jamtara SDPO Santosh Kumar, and Dumka DSP have set up a camp in Hansdiha since last night. Upon receiving the information, the police, along with a dog squad team, launched a rescue operation late at night.
