SC rejects bail plea of Ex-CMD of Amrapali Group

The Supreme Court refused Anil Kumar Sharma's motion for bail on the grounds that he had deceived thousands of homeowners and was not deserving of sympathy. Sharma was the former chief executive officer of the Amrapali Group of Companies.

Thursday, the bench stated. "You've defrauded thousands of homebuyers. You cheated them out of their life savings and hard-earned money. No sympathy should be shown to you.

It's not just a simple issue of cheating here. View the hardships endured by numerous homebuyers. We are unable to feel bad for you. You should like being locked up. This court was aware of your behavior. You created the situation, so there is no way for us to escape it. According to the bench, many homebuyers are having difficulty.Sharma had previously been granted temporary release on bail for the case for medical reasons.
