Road mishap in Chhattisgarh leaves 11 dead, including 5 women & 2 children

The death of 11 people in a road accident took place in Chhattisgarh last night on 3 May. There were 5 women and 2 children among the deceased people. This family was travelling in an SUV and collided with a truck in Balod district, Chhattisgarh.

These victims were traveling from Soram Bhatgaon, Dhamtari district to attend a wedding in Markotala village, Kanker district. The accident happened on national highway 30 near Jagtara village under the Purur Police station area. “Victims died on the spot and a child died while taking him to the hospital due to heavy injuries”, said Arur Kumar Sahu, station house officer of Purur police station.

 An SUV collided head on with a truck but the driver is missing since the accident happened. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel did take notice of this miserable incident.
