A real estate agent was brutally killed at a restaurant near the Pune-Solapur highway last night. The killing has shocked the whole city of Pune. A group of men shot and then hacked to death the victim, Avinash Balu Dhanve, who was 34 years old. It is believed that a fight between two gangs was what sparked the attack.
At the restaurant in Indapur, CCTV cameras caught the horrible event. They showed Dhanve and three other people sitting at a table while a family of four, including two children, ate at another table. Two guys walked in, one with a plastic bag. They pulled out guns and shot Dhanve in the head while he was on the phone. As Dhanve lay on the ground, the attackers cut him badly with a machete, while a family sitting nearby ran away in fear.

There are five teams of police officers looking into the murder case. Early evidence suggests that Dhanve may have been killed because of a fight between two gangs. The killers ran away after the brutal murder, leaving a scene of chaos and destruction in their wake.
