Odisha on Rain Alert: 22 Districts Face Heavy Rainfall 🌧️🚨

People of Odisha, don’t ignore this weather alert!

A low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal has intensified rainfall activity across Odisha, with heavy rain warnings issued for 22 districts.

🔴 Red Alert: Kalahandi and Kandhamal, where extremely heavy rainfall is possible.
🟠 Orange Alert: Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati and Ganjam.
🟡 Yellow Alert: 15 other districts.

Authorities have also closed government and aided schools in Mayurbhanj amid the weather conditions. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea until September 11, while cautionary signals have been hoisted at Odisha ports.

The rainfall is expected to continue, with alerts also issued for the coming days.

Important: This is due to a low pressure area, not a cyclone.
