A decommissioned MiG-211 fighter plane that was used in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War was displayed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister, and C.P. Radhakrishnan, the Governor of Jharkhand, were also there.
Mr. Radhakrishnan posted on "X" that today, our most esteemed and honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji inaugurated the Mikoyan Gurevich (MiG-211) fighter jet aircraft at Raj Bhavan. The aircraft was successfully employed in the Bangladesh Liberation War and was integrated into the Indian Air Force in 1964.
The PM also had a meeting at Raj Bhavan with the governor's family. "Despite his hectic schedule, I am incredibly appreciative to our dearest, most esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for spending today in Raj Bhavan with my family. "With all of my gratitude, I thank him," Radhakrishnan exclaimed after witnessing his love and affection for my family, particularly my grandchildren.
With his family, he also showed them pictures of the fighter jet and the PM's meeting.On Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, the anniversary of tribal hero Birsa Munda's birth, Mr. Modi visited Ulihatu in Khunti district earlier in the day and offered flowers in honour of the man.
