National Monsoon Rain updates: Several other states on alert along with Maharashtra

Maharashtra: on Thursday, in separate weather-related accidents, three people perished in the Palghar, which is experiencing heavy rain for the third day straight, an official said. People moved to a safe zone after a landslide in the neighborhood of the Bhatwadi area of Ghatkopar, Mumbai according to a civic official. Following a "red alert" for severe weather, Thane and Palghar schools remain closed on Friday, 21, and Saturday, 22.

Himachal Pradesh: Flash floods in Shimla and Kinnaur districts hindered roads, damaged farms, vehicles, leading officials to postpone the Kinner Kailash Yatra.

Uttar Pradesh: Relief Commissioner released a statement saying that thirteen persons died in rain-related accidents in the 24 hours that ended at 6 p.m.

Telangana: For the third day in a row, rain pounded, flooding low-lying areas in certain areas of the state and causing waterlogging and traffic jams in others. In spite of the rain, the state government has announced two days off for all educational institutions and government offices in Hyderabad on July 21 and 22.

Rajasthan: According to the MeT, the monsoon is predicted to continue to be active for the majority of the state through next week, seeing severe rains in a few isolated locations during the next two days.

Odisha: The creation of a low-pressure area (LOPAR) over the Bay of Bengal off the state's coast brought extensive rainfall to many areas, including Malkangiri, which was affected by a flash flood, the weatherman said.

Uttarakhand: Overnight heavy rains in Chamoli caused a portion of the Gairsain-Karnprayag National Highway - 109 to get washed away.

Goa: Low-lying regions in the state continue to experience heavy rains and flood-like conditions; Flood-like conditions can occur in low-lying areas. IMD has issued an orange alert until July 24, according to officials.
