Mumbai: 70-year-old lady passes away as tree collapses, marking 4th accident in the city

A huge branch of a tree fell on three people in Malad, Mumbai on Tuesday, killing a 70-year-old woman and injuring two others, including a woman and a 3-year-old boy, According to civic officials.
With this incident, there have now been four fatal tree fall incidents in the city since the start of the monsoon on June 28.
Around 4.30 pm, the event happened in the Kasam Baug neighborhood when the two women and the infant were traveling to a hospital to meet a relative.
The child and the two women were taken to separate hospitals for treatment following the incident, according to officials.
One of them, Shindabai Ahire, was declared brought dead by doctors at a Kandivali hospital. Both the child, Rudra Sonawane, and another woman, Rekhabai Sonawane (46), are receiving treatment at Jeevan Jyoti Hospital, according to the reports.
