The victim was walking with her sister when four men stopped their car and offered them a ride. The men drove the girls to a secluded area and then sexually assaulted the younger girl. They turned up loud music in the car to try to drown out her cries for help.The girl reported the assault to her family as soon as she got home. On November 18, 2023, her family filed a complaint with the police.
One suspect has been arrested in connection with the case. He is a resident of the victim's village.
