Meghalaya truck driver shot and killed by BSF while delivering cattle.
In Meghalaya’s east Khasi hills, a 32-year-old truck driver was shot dead by the border security force. This has led to widespread criticism on social media leading to the order of a court of inquiry, officials confirmed.
The accused has stated they acted in lieu of self-defense over the fear of being run over whereas the kin of the deceased has stated that the BSF personnel open fired from point-blank range on his cousin.
