Chaos erupted in Pithampur this morning when a massive fire engulfed the scrap yard of a plastic manufacturing unit.

The fire, which reportedly started around 9:30 AM, spread rapidly after reaching drums of thinner and paint.

A thick, suffocating cloud of black smoke blanketed the entire industrial area, sparking panic among nearby units.

At the time of the incident, over 100 laborers were working inside the premises.

Thanks to a swift evacuation process, all workers were brought to safety before the fire reached the main production area.

Fire brigades from the surrounding industrial zones were rushed to the scene to battle the inferno, which proved difficult to extinguish due to the highly flammable materials involved.
