Vision Behind the Cruise Service:

YA Rahim, President of the Indian Association Sharjah, highlighted that the cruise will reach its destination in a mere three days, aiming for an operational launch before the December school break. The primary objective is to offer Indian expatriates in the UAE an affordable mode of transportation to reunite with their hometowns, bypassing the exorbitant airline charges.

Relief from Soaring Airfares:

During peak travel seasons, expatriates often grapple with exorbitant airfares. This cruise service stands as a practical solution, providing a more economically viable option. Travellers can secure a one-way ticket for as low as ₹10,000. Collaborations with cargo companies further enhance the feasibility and affordability of this initiative, offering a promising alternative to air travel. For context, several airlines charge between ₹11,000 and ₹20,000 for economy-class flights from Kerala to Dubai.

Made in India Initiative:

Initially designated for another state's route, the vessel was crafted in Kochi and has now been repurposed for the Kochi-Dubai route. This adaptation underscores its use in Kerala Gulf services, aligning with the "Made in India" ethos.
