The state government has taken steps to ensure that Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra in Puri is conducted in a methodical, orderly, and seamless manner, according to Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik, who made the announcement on Tuesday. The Chief Minister said during the coordination meeting to evaluate the Rath Yatra preparations for the sister goddesses of the temple from the 12th century, "It is our duty to successfully perform the Rath Yatra ceremonies." Through a video conference, the CM joined the meeting. "Devotees should be ensured to have a safe journey and a fulfilling Rath Yatra experience," he continued. The blessings of Lord Jagannath are constantly with us. Everyone's service and dedication will be necessary for the huge event to succeed. The biggest identity of every Odia is Mahaprabhu Jagannath. The Lord's Rath Yatra is anticipated by the entire globe. We must all work together to successfully wrap up the event, he remarked.
In view of the heat wave, the CM further highlighted the need for immaculate ritual performance and devotee accommodations. "It is crucial to make sure rituals are performed correctly. In a manner similar to this, pilgrims heading to Puri for safety need to receive particular attention. Special precautions must be taken this year because it is summer", Patnaik said. Additional ministers, Chief Secretary P K Jena, Director General of Police SK Bansal, Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), a number of temple employees, and top administrators from various ministries also attended the meeting in Puri. The SJTA's top administrator, Ranjan Kumar Das, said that every department is working together to efficiently arrange the big event.
