ISRO collaborates with the Japanese team to review the Lunar Polar Exploration mission

On Thursday, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) discussed their continued collaboration to undertake a collaborative lunar polar exploration (LUPEX) mission. The project, which seeks to deliver a lander and rover to the south pole of the Moon around 2024, has been developed together by scientists from both space agencies.JAXA President Hiroshi Yamakawa and Secretary in the Department of Space K Sivan led their respective delegations during a bilateral meeting conducted virtually. According to the ISRO, India has always understood that space has implications beyond national boundaries and can only be handled in collaboration with other nations.
