On Tuesday night, a recklessly driven truck crashed into roughly a dozen cars on the national highway inside the city limits, killing three people, according to police. The truck driver, who attempted to leave the scene and was arrested, is thought to have been driving while intoxicated.
The incident happened in an area beneath Agra's Sikandra police station.

On the national highway, a speeding truck collided with several cars, killing three people. Aditya Singh, the assistant commissioner of police (Hari Parvat Circle), says, "The number of people injured in the incident is being ascertained as a few went to hospitals on their own while others were hospitalized by police."
Following the collision in his truck, the driver attempted to escape but was apprehended by police close to the Gurudwara Gura Ka Taal Crossing. He said, "The driver was taken into custody and is being sent for a medical evaluation to determine whether or not he was intoxicated."
As I was heading toward Sikandra on Tuesday night, a speeding truck hit my car from the back. One of the eyewitnesses, Neeraj Kumar, stated, "When I turned, I saw a crowd chasing the truck, but its driver did not stop and sped into other vehicles."

While they awaited a medical report, the police remained silent on the possibility that the truck driver was intoxicated when operating a vehicle.
At the time of the most recent report, the deceased were still being identified.
The truck driver reportedly struck a car close to a vegetable market before crashing into other cars while attempting to flee the enraged crowd.
