Helpless passengers at Mumbai airport due to the glitch in the VietJet flight

Due to an aircraft malfunction, up to 300 passengers on a VietJet trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, were left stuck at the airport for approximately ten hours. The traveler, who asked to remain anonymous, claimed that despite the protracted delay, the airline did not offer meals or hotel accommodations. If a flight is postponed for an extended period of time, the airline is required by DGCA regulations to provide passengers with food and accommodation.

Later, VietJet issued a statement explaining that operational issues necessitated a rescheduling of flight VJ884 from Mumbai (India) to Ho Chi Minh City until 20:30 local time. Some flights have been affected by this rescheduling, and passengers on those flights are receiving support in accordance with the carrier's policy. This support may include lodging, meals, refreshments, and other items upon specific passenger request.
