Chhapra, Bihar: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated a credit outreach drive of the central government at Jaiprakash University in Chhapra, Bihar. In the credit outreach drive, the FM distributed Rs 1348 crore to 61730 beneficiaries, the organiser of the drive told Vygr News. On this occasion, the Union Finance Minister remarked that the country is now becoming economically prosperous. We are in fifth place in terms of economy. But the Modi government is making efforts to bring it to the first position, she said.
She further said that through the government schemes, unemployed youth and women in the village are getting economic prosperity. Now loans are being made easily available by the bank on the guarantee of the Modi government. Speaking in Saran district, she said that Jeevika Didiyan is also making a lot of progress in Saran district. The Drone Didi programme is being run. Commending the BJP government's success in steering the economy, FM said that since 2014, the government has provided convenient loans in several sectors.
On this occasion, the Union Finance Minister distributed loan letters and checks from the platform to some beneficiaries. Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh, Saran MP Rajeev Pratap Rudy, Maharajganj MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal, SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara, MLA Dr. CN Gupt, MLA Mantu Singh, and some other senior officials of various leading banks were present in the central credit outreach programme.
The Union Finance Minister distributed loans among these beneficiaries: Rs. 41.76 crore among 170 beneficiaries of housing loans, Rs. 38.98 crore among 209 beneficiaries of vehicle loans, Rs. 2.51 crore among 36 beneficiaries of education loans, Rs. 202.77 crore among 6,565 beneficiaries of other retail loans, Mudra 32.36 crore among 922 beneficiaries of PMEGP, 2.28 crore among 34 beneficiaries of Stand-up India, 1.65 crore among 751 beneficiaries of PMSVANidhi, 11.91 crore among 128 beneficiaries of PMEGP, 98.56 crore among 829 beneficiaries of MSME loan, 17.38 crore among 1,746 beneficiaries of KCC (Corporation), 2.46 crore among 158 beneficiaries of KCC (AHD and Fisheries), 267.98 crore among 10,420 beneficiaries of SHG, 266.13 crore among 12,542 beneficiaries of other agricultural loan, and Rs 95.85 crore has been provided to 3,994 beneficiaries.
