Thirteen people have been killed and seventeen others injured in a tragic bus accident in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district. The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday when a passenger bus collided with a dumper on the Guna-Aaron road. The collision caused the bus to catch fire, resulting in the deaths of thirteen passengers. The injured individuals have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Probe and Assistance Announced
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has ordered a probe into the incident and announced financial assistance for the victims. He has promised Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each for the injured. The Chief Minister will also be visiting Guna to meet with the survivors of the accident.
Confirmation of the Death Toll and Investigation
Guna District Collector Tarun Rathi has confirmed the death toll and stated that the injured individuals are now out of danger. He mentioned that seventeen people are currently receiving treatment at the district hospital. The bodies of the deceased were charred beyond recognition in the fire, and a DNA test will be conducted to identify them. The district authorities have removed all the bodies from the accident spot, and a detailed examination to find the cause of the accident is underway.
