Senior official of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Mr. Pradeep Kurulkar got arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) late on Wednesday, 3 May. He was accused of getting involved in wrongful communication with Pakistani Intelligence, shared secret details, considered this as a case of ‘Honey Trap’. Later, he was produced in the Pune court of special judge S R Navander and he will be in ATS custody till 9 May.
Senior scientist Kurulkar has been working with DRDO for the last 30 years. He has been part of many significant projects since then. He worked on design development, military engineering systems, missile launchers and many more. He was supposed to have confidential information and photos from that mission. It is said that he might have shared sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence. Photos of women were used to trap him. ATS received this complaint from the DRDO office in Delhi. He is charged with section 3 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act.
