The Delhi Police is set to submit a chargesheet today in connection with female wrestlers' sexual harassment complaints against WFI chairman and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The Delhi Police have requested information on Mr. Singh's alleged sexual harassment from five wrestling federations. Once the federations reply, the police will submit a supplementary charge sheet. The inquiry team requested tournament images, videos, and CCTV evidence from five wrestling federations.
The Delhi Police escorted a female wrestler to the wrestling body chief's office on Friday to investigate sexual harassment claims. Two women police officers accompanied the wrestler. Wrestling Federation headquarters are in Mr. Singh's official mansion.
At 1:30 pm, the wrestlers and women cops came to WFI. The wrestler was asked to replicate the harassment incident and recall where she felt harassed for 30 minutes. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has interviewed over 180 people and filed two FIRs against Mr. Singh.
