Gourav Sharma, the president of the Congress' Baran city branch and a resident of the Tel Factory neighbourhood, suffered serious injuries after being fired at by unidentified gunmen in Rajasthan's Baran district on Wednesday over a land dispute. According to police, the incident occurred on Talawara Road, near the Baran City Police Station. Sharma was shot in the head during the altercation by unidentified assailants, who were able to escape the scene. It appears that the attack was motivated by a land dispute. Sharma was brought to a nearby hospital after being discovered injured on the side of the road, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Raj Kumar. If Sharma has any enemies, that is currently being investigated.
