On Monday, during an operation against Naxalites, an old temporary Naxalite camp was destroyed in a forest-mountainous area between Jhirjhor and Pokhriya, in the Goilkera and Tonto and Jatai police station areas. The camp had the capacity to accommodate 70 people. The security forces destroyed the camp and recovered daily use items from it.
Naxal leaders Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Chaman, Kandi, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angaria, Ashwin are traveling with their squad members in the Kolhan region for subversive activities. In view of this, an operation has been launched against the Naxals in the border areas of Kuida, Chhota Kuida, Maradhiri, Meralgara, Hatiburu, Tilaiybeda Boypaisssang, Katamba, Bayhatu, Boroi, Lemsadih of Goilkera police station area of the district and Hussipi, Rajabasa, Tumbaka, Regda, Patatorab, Goburu, Luiya village of Tonto police station area.
