N. Chandrababu Naidu has been granted bail in three separate instances by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. He previously held the position of Chief Minister in Andhra Pradesh. Some of the cases that have been highlighted include the Inner Ring Road case, the liquor case, and the sand policy issue. Nevertheless, the judge has advised Naidu to fully assist with the investigation and refrain from engaging in any public or media conversations about the matter.
Allegations of anomalies in Amaravati's Inner Ring Road construction are at the heart of the Inner Ring Road issue. In May 2022, the CID filed a formal complaint (FIR) against Naidu, Heritage Foods Ltd., and former minister of municipal administration Dr. P Narayana. In November, in the skill development case, the High Court had already granted Naidu bail.
Naidu had been in custody by the court for 53 days prior to receiving a four-week temporary release. His incarceration in the skill development fraud case had sparked political unrest, and TDP leaders accused him of being politically motivated in making false accusations.
In the Fibernet scam case, Naidu is included as an accused in addition to the skill development case. A substantial loss to the state coffers is said to have resulted from tender rigging in the Andhra Pradesh FiberNet Project.Given the numerous legal issues the former chief minister has been up against, the bail granted to Naidu in these matters is considered a relief.
