The Cabinet Committee on Security recently gave its approval to these procurement projects. This is a big step towards making security manufacturing more in-house. This purchase is an Indian-IDDM, which shows that the government is committed to making its own defence products.

The Dhruv Mk-III helicopters are designed to do many things, such as maritime spying, evacuating injured people, transporting troops, search and rescue, and rappelling. These flexible planes have already proven their worth in rough places like Ladakh and the Siachen Glacier.

Furthermore, this purchase will not only improve the operational skills of the Indian Army and Coast Guard, but it will also be good for the economy. About 190 lakh man-hours of work are expected to be created by the project, which will also involve over 200 MSMEs and 70 local sellers in the process of making things more Indian.

Overall, this deal with Hindustan Aeronautics is a smart investment in military technology and training for the workforce. It also makes India a major player in aerospace technology.
