According to sources, the CBI searched seven locations in Mumbai, including Jet Airways and Naresh Goyal's headquarters, in relation to an alleged Rs 538 billion fraud case at Canara Bank. At Goyal's residences, those of his wife Anita and the former airline director Gaurang Ananda Shetty were searched.
According to the officials, the agency has filed a new FIR in connection with an alleged bank fraud following a complaint from Canara Bank. They added that the claims related to an alleged money-diversion scheme. After the Jalan-Kalrock consortium won the bid for Jet Airways through the insolvency resolution process at the National Firm Law Tribunal, the firm was in the process of being revived.
