Bihar: Under constructed Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge collapsed, no casualties reported

In the Bhagalpur district of Bihar, a bridge that was still being built over the Ganga river fell on Sunday, prompting the state government to order the building construction department to launch an investigation into the event, according to an official. According to him, there have been no casualties as of yet from the collapse of the bridge that links Bhagalpur and Khagaria districts, the Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge.

Subrat Kumar Sen, the district magistrate for Bhagalpur, responded, "Yes, I am aware of the collapse of 4-5 pillars of the under-construction Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge. The administration communicates with representatives of the relevant department.

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, gave the assistant chief secretary of the building construction department, Pratyaya Amrit, the order to form an inquiry committee to look into the situation and take harsh action against the offending officer.

According to Samrat Choudhary, the state BJP president, the incident demonstrates how "corruption is rampant" in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar." The bridge was built with subpar materials. The CM isn't too concerned with Bihar's growth because he's too busy with his tour. After this episode, he needs to leave his position.Notably, a part of a bridge that was still being built fell in the Nalanda area in November of last year, resulting in the deaths of one worker and the injuries of another.
