The State Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh inaugurated the Jatayu cruise on Friday, September 8. The cruise ship can accommodate an approximate of 100 people and will voyage across the various famous tourist ghats and temples.
The Jatayu cruise has 2 floors, and is 45 feet long and 15 feet wide. It is named after the Vulture King Jatayu. It has 100 seats in which 70 seats have air-conditioned section and the rest 30 seats are on the roof. The cruise will travel on the Saryu river, travelling from Naya Ghat to Guptar Ghat while the passengers can view the ancient temples and ghats in Ayodhya taking about an hour and half to two hours to complete the distance of 18 km. It also gives the travellers a glimpse into the rich past and culture of Ayodhya. Additionally, it offers services like meals and snacks.
The cruise is said to go on four trips - the first trip starts at 04:30AM and will end at 06:30AM, the second trip from 11AM to 1PM, the third trip from 4PM to 6PM and the final trip of the day will be from 6PM to 8PM.
The Managing Director of Ayodhya Cruise Lines, Rahul Sharma informed that the Jatayu cruise is a double engine boat due to which it would be able to travel easily even when there as less as 3 to 4 feet of water and the smooth sail will not be affected. Jaiveer Singh mentioned the importance of connectivity for tourism, according to him better connectivity will help with the increase of tourists and their convenience.
Overall, its comfortable seating, scenic views, and services like meals and snacks, it offers a unique and enjoyable experience for tourists. The cruise allows visitors to explore the ancient temples and ghats along the Saryu river. Additionally, the multiple trips throughout the day provide flexibility for tourists to choose a convenient time to embark on the cruise. Overall, the Jatayu cruise will enhance connectivity and attract more tourists to Ayodhya.
