Adhaar card for Dogs: Mumbai engineer creates QR Code collars

A 24-year-old engineer, Akshay Ridlan has invented a QR code-based accession system, which can be attached to the collar belt of dogs, and can be used to scan any information about the particular dog, including its caretaker's contact details. Predominantly he has invented this for the stray dogs which are often abandoned. The cause of this, as mentioned by the engineer and dog rescuer, is the loss of his beloved pet “Kalu”. His pet had gone missing due to the distressing noise produced in his neighbourhood by crackers.

He also says that anyone who abandons their dogs or abuses them and leaves them on the streets can be tracked using this collar so that the dogs are safe and protected from any harm. He sells this collar for a price of Rs.100 along with the transportation cost of Rs.50
