A wave with a face- that’s a brilliant click

Photographer Lan Sproat waited for 12 hours at the Roker Pier, Sunderland, UK to get the perfect shot of the lighthouse. This 41-year-old photographer took 4000 images before the final picture.

The image has gone viral on the internet. The image shows waves crashing into the lighthouse. It gives the impression of the waves forming a sculpture of a woman’s torso with her head veiled. You can spot a face that is formed from the light hitting the falling waves.

Lan Sproat, who is from North Tyneside, shared the image on Instagram with the caption, "Faces in the waves, could it be the goddess of water, Amphitrite, or our beloved late queen Elizabeth?"

The picture shows that photography is not just about clicking random pictures but getting the perfect shot no matter how far you need to go for it. This shows the passion and dedication of a true photographer.
