A sensational case of rape and murder of a 7 year old girl has come to light in the Oon police station area of Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district.

The accused tried to hide the crime by burying the child's body under a pile of hay in the village barn.

The girl had stepped out in the evening to buy something from a shop near her house but did not return till late night.

When the family began searching the body was found late at night buried under hay in the village barn.

Police reached the spot immediately and sent the body for postmortem to the district hospital.

Given the seriousness of the case police took swift action and detained two suspect youths.

During interrogation both confessed to the crime and have been arrested.

The postmortem was conducted in the morning and an FIR is being registered under rape, murder and POCSO Act charges.
