On Wednesday, a cow that came in the way of a Vande Bharat train fell on a man using a toilet on the railway tracks in Alwar, India, killing him.The incident took place under Aravali Vihar police station area in Alwar, Rajasthan. Shivdayal Sharma, a man who retired as an electrician with the Indian Railways 23 years ago, has been identified as the deceased.
According to Shivdayal's family, a Vande Bharat train allegedly collided with a cow while leaving Kali Mori Gate at around 8:30 am. When the two objects collided, a piece of the cow's body fell 30 meters away and landed on Shivdayal, who was using the railway track as a toilet. Shivdayal died instantly.Shivdayal's body was brought to the district hospital on Wednesday morning so that the post-mortem could be done.
Since other such incidents, many of them have come to light from the Mumbai-Gujarat section, cattle accidents on railway lines have become a nuisance.According to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav earlier this year, the government is taking steps to prevent incidents of animal trampling on railway tracks.
