Sakshi Kochhar from Himachal Pradesh, becomes the youngest Indian to receive a commercial pilot licence. She was born on May 30, 2005, in a small town in Himachal Pradesh called Parwanoo. She belongs to a family with a trade background in footwear and apparel. She gained interest in flying aircraft when she was in primary school. Her interest and passion for becoming a pilot have now come true with her sheer diligence. She pursued her goal by joining the Skyline Aviation Club of Mumbai and did 4 months of training for 4 months. She also travelled to the US to undertake training.
“I'm so lucky to have been brought up in a loving family consisting of my grandparents, parents and an elder brother who always fostered me to achieve my dreams,” said the 19-year-old Sakshi to ANI.
