1: INS Imphal is the first vessel to be named after a city in the Northeast. The president gave his approval for the name in April 2019. Officials said the name shows how important the Northeastern areas are to the safety and prosperity of the whole country.

2: This is the third of four destroyers in the "Vishakhapatnam" class that were built by the Indian Navy's own Warship Design Bureau.

3:The ship, which was built by Mazagaon Dock Limited, was given to the Indian Navy on October 20 after a long and difficult trial run in both the harbour and at sea.

4: The guided missile frigate INS Imphal is a strong and flexible platform that has state-of-the-art weapons and sensors, such as surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles, and torpedoes. It can carry 7,400 tonnes of cargo and is 164 metres long.
