Every year, over 50,000 people, mostly aged 18–24, lose their lives in road accidents, often due to delays in help caused by fear of legal consequences.
The government has now addressed this by assuring no police harassment for helpers, recognising them as "Raahveers", awarding ₹25,000, and providing victims with seven days of free treatment and up to ₹1.5 lakh in medical support, proving that one timely act can save a life.
