Man Gets Eaten Alive by Bedbugs in Atlanta Jail

The family's lawyer has said that a man who died in a jail cell in Atlanta was "eaten alive by insects and bed bugs." Lashawn Thompson was imprisoned for wrongdoing and set in the Fulton Province Prison mental wing after authorities passed judgment on him as deranged. Family lawyer Michael D Harper delivered photographs showing Mr. Thompson's body filled with bugs.

A thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Thompson's death has been announced by the Office, which manages the jail. The statement also stated that it had spent $500,000 "to address the infestation of bed bugs, lice, and other vermin within the Fulton County Jail" immediately.

Bedbugs are a common problem in many facilities, including jails, and can cause significant discomfort and health issues for those affected.
