Vygr gets incubated at riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar University to Power the Future of AI-enabled, Human-Curated Content

Vygr, one of India’s most dynamic media-tech platforms, is now officially incubated at riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar University — a technology park supported by the Department of Science & Technology; BIRAC, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology; Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology; DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and Maharashtra State Innovation Society, Government of Maharashtra.

Vygr which is India’s fastest-growing human-led content platform has now entered its destined phase: going from storytelling to infrastructure-building. The incubation marks a decisive leap toward product innovation and scaling India’s content-tech ecosystem.

Founded by Sonam Bhagat, Vygr is reimagining the future of information by empowering creators to deliver human-generated, human-curated content in an age of AI overload. The incubation at riidl (Research Innovation Incubation Design Laboratory) marks a significant milestone in Vygr’s journey, granting access to funding support, a rich ecosystem of mentorship, infrastructure, and academic collaboration.

“Being incubated at riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar University is more than recognition — it’s a launchpad,” said Sonam Bhagat, Founder of Vygr. “It gives us the tools, space, and ecosystem support to create meaningful infrastructure for creators, brands, and knowledge consumers alike. We’re thrilled to be incubated at riidl, a space that has nurtured some of India’s most impactful startups. This is a strong validation of our vision to build a new-age content platform that brings quality, trust, and creator-powered narratives back into focus,” she added.

“Original, human-led content especially in hyperlocal contexts is intensive and expensive,” added Abhishake Das, Co-Founder and Head of Content at Vygr. “This incubation helps us go beyond execution, into enablement supporting creators and brands with smarter tools and scalable systems.”

Vygr’s Media-Tech Focus Includes:

  • AI-enabled, human-led curation for news and knowledge flows
